Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai seeks an experienced Utility Engineer to plan, review, and supervise the installation, relocation, and protection of water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical and telecom utilities within major infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate with DEWA, RTA and telecom providers, review drawings for accuracy, monitor on-site progress and safety, and resolve utility conflicts while maintaining thorough documentation. Minimum 8 years' UAE experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of UAE experience as a Utility Engineer on infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of local authority procedures (e.g., DEWA, RTA, Etisalat, DU).
  • Proven experience coordinating utility diversions and new installations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, review, and oversee the installation, relocation, and protection of utilities within infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and service providers to obtain necessary approvals and ensure UAE regulatory compliance.
  • Review utility design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built submissions for technical accuracy.
  • Monitor utility works on-site to ensure progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Resolve design and coordination issues related to utility conflicts and propose solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain utility progress reports, inspection logs, and documentation.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
