Job summary

Black & Grey HR Consultancy FZE seeks a USV System Operator to join our unmanned systems team in Abu Dhabi. You will operate, monitor, and control Uncrewed Surface Vessels, ensuring missions are executed safely and efficiently under SOPs and maritime regulations.

Responsibilities include pre/post-mission checks, telemetry monitoring, troubleshooting, data recording, and collaboration with the Unmanned Solutions Manager and technical teams to ensure mission success in offshore environments.

Qualifications

Candidates should have hands-on experience operating USVs or similar unmanned systems.
Experience in offshore/marine or hydrographic operations is highly desirable.
Proficiency with navigation, telemetry, and payload monitoring is required.
Ability to troubleshoot IT/OT interfaces and control systems independently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Willingness to work in offshore environments and adapt to varying conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) during deployment, transit, mission execution, and recovery.
Control vessel navigation, propulsion, and autonomous functions per mission plans.
Monitor telemetry, navigation data, and payload performance during missions.
Identify anomalies and take corrective action within authority limits.
Perform pre-mission and post-mission checks on systems and payloads.
Record mission performance and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Escalate major failures to Unmanned Solutions Manager or Technical Support.
Ensure SOPs and maritime regulations are followed.
