Role Overview:

We are looking for a User Researcher-II to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of industry experience in User research or related fields. As a User Researcher, you will focus primarily on problem discovery research to uncover deep insights into user needs, pain points, and motivations. While your main emphasis will be on generative research, you will also contribute to evaluative research efforts, ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of usability and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research with a strong focus on problem discovery to identify unmet user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define research objectives and select appropriate methods, prioritizing problem discovery research.
  • Execute end-to-end research studies, including planning, recruiting, moderation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights that drive innovative product and service design.
  • Present insights to stakeholders, advocating for the user perspective, and influencing product decisions.
  • Support evaluative research initiatives, helping to assess the usability and effectiveness of our products.
  • Contribute to the development of research best practices and the continuous improvement of research methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in User research, human-centered design, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in problem discovery research, with a proven ability to uncover deep user insights.
  • Proficiency in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Ability to scope and execute research projects in collaboration with cross-functional counterparts from Product, Business & Design.
  • Basic understanding of analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Relevant experience in research within product-based organizations.
  • Good to have a bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
