GS is seeking a Senior Planning & Urban Designer to lead urban planning and design for large-scale developments in Dubai. The role requires 10+ years of experience, with strong expertise in urban planning, master planning, urban design, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

You will develop master plans, land-use frameworks, site planning strategies, and present proposals to clients and authorities, mentoring junior staff and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in urban planning and urban design.
• Strong experience in master planning and large-scale developments.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Excellent design, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

GS is looking for an experienced Senior Planning & Urban Designer to join our growing team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, master planning, urban design, and large-scale development projects, with the ability to lead design concepts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality planning and urban design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage urban planning and urban design projects from concept through development and implementation.
• Develop master plans, urban frameworks, site planning strategies, land-use plans, and urban design concepts.
• Prepare and review planning and design proposals, presentations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site analysis, planning studies, feasibility assessments, and development evaluations.
• Ensure planning and design solutions align with project objectives, planning principles, applicable regulations, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, infrastructure consultants, engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review development proposals and provide technical and design recommendations.
• Lead design reviews and ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of project outputs.
• Support project managers and senior leadership with planning strategies, design decisions, and project development.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of technical and design quality.
• Mentor and guide junior planners and designers within the team.
• Stay updated on UAE planning regulations, urban development trends, sustainability principles, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in urban planning and urban design.
• Strong experience in master planning, large-scale developments, mixed-use projects, or urban development projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, development controls, and relevant authority requirements.
• Excellent design, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant design and planning software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team.
