Job description

We are seeking a highly professional General Practitioner to serve as a University Doctor at the American University in the Emirates (AUE). The successful candidate will provide medical services and manage healthcare activities for the AUE community, ensuring compliance with established medical standards and ethics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational setting

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide basic in-house emergency, first aid, and standard healthcare services to students, faculty, and staff, and refer patients to specialists or external healthcare providers as needed.
2. Respond to on-campus emergencies and collaborate with emergency services.
3. Maintain high standards of medical upkeep and deliver exceptional customer care to all AUE stakeholders.
4. Offer medical consultations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe treatments.
5. Refer patients to specialists and coordinate with other healthcare providers.
6. Conduct health screenings and vaccinations.
7. Support the Health & Safety Team with orientation and onboarding for new staff.
8. Conduct health education sessions and promote healthy lifestyles.
9. Manage health & safety reports and provide administrative healthcare support.
10. Maintain and document employee clinical insurance policies and assist with medical needs, directing them to hospitals and clinics.
11. Handle clinic systems and records, ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Location : American University in the Emirates (AUE), Dubai International Academic City

Salary : AED 8,000 – 10,000 per month
