Job summary

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) seeks a General Practitioner to serve as a University Doctor and deliver medical services for the AUE community on campus in Dubai. You will ensure smooth clinic operations, provide basic emergency care, and coordinate with external providers when required.

Ideal candidates hold a medical degree and a DHA Eligibility Letter with at least 2 years in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of experience in an educational institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic in-house emergency and first aid and regular healthcare to students, faculty, and staff, refer to specialists when needed.
• Act as a medical responder during on-campus emergencies and coordinate with emergency services.
• Maintain high standards of medical upkeep and customer care for all AUE stakeholders.
• Offer medical consultations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe treatments for students and staff.
• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate with other healthcare providers.
• Conduct routine health screenings and vaccinations.
• Support Health & Safety orientation and onboarding for new joiners.
• Conduct health education sessions to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive care.
• Manage health & safety reports and provide admin support related to campus healthcare.
• Keep track of employee clinical insurance and guide them to hospitals and clinics as needed.
• Handle clinic records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth function of the University Clinic activities in accordance with established medical standards and ethics.

Qualifications & Experience

Salary: AED 8,000 - 10,000 per month

Job Responsibilities

• Act as a key medical responder during on-campus emergencies and providing urgent care on campus, as well as collaborating with emergency services when necessary.
• Responsible for maintaining high standards with regard to Medical upkeeping and exceptional customer care support to all AUE stakeholders at the American University in the Emirates.
• Offering medical consultations, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing treatments for students and staff.
• Referring patients to specialists when necessary and coordinating with other healthcare providers.
• Conducting routine health screenings and vaccinations.
• To provide support to the Health & Safety Team, assisting them with Health & Safety orientation and onboarding for new joiners.
• Conducting health education sessions and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive care.
• Responsible for managing the health & safety reports and providing administrative assistance related to healthcare services on campus.
• Responsible for keeping track and documenting the employee's clinical insurance policy and assist them with their medical needs and direct them to hospitals and clinics as per their needs.
• Handle all systems and records of the Clinic process and maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
