Job description

Location: UAE (Sharjah)

Salary: AED 4,000 – 5,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the logistics, coordination, and inventory management of Unit Load Devices (ULD) across the GSS network.
2. Plan and monitor ULD movements to ensure efficient, demand-driven supply across all stations.
3. Update ULD movement records accurately and in a timely manner in internal systems.
4. Ensure compliance with GSS ground handling procedures related to ULD operations at all locations.
5. Supervise on-ground ULD activities, including damage checks, stock control, and quality reporting.
6. Coordinate closely with Ground Handling Agents (GHAs) for ground operations, cargo handling, and flight support.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with GHAs, airport authorities, customs, and security agencies.
8. Manage station supply needs, including ordering consumables and logistics support for global GSS operations.
9. Oversee crew support logistics such as catering, hotel bookings, and visa arrangements as required.
10. Maintain accurate flight and cargo documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
11. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, ensuring engagement, and supporting client satisfaction.
12. Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational and customer service targets effectively.
13. Assist in commercial discussions and decisions as per operational requirements.
14. Take initiative, demonstrate accountability, and contribute to overall operational success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in airport ground operations and ULD management.
• Strong understanding of cargo handling, ULD systems, and ground logistics.
• Experienced in coordinating with third parties, especially GHAs and service vendors.
• Skilled in communication, prioritization, and independent problem-solving.
• Able to handle challenges with empathy and ownership, focused on finding practical solutions.
• Must pass airport security clearance and qualify for an airport ID badge.
• Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and deliver process improvements.
• Confident in making operational decisions based on facts and situational awareness.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel across the UAE as needed to support 24/7 operations.
