Job summary

Velments Group Management in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to support UAE-compliant financial processes in retail, FMCG, trading, and liquor sectors. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting, invoicing, stock control, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will manage supplier and customer invoices, purchase orders, credit notes, and ensure accurate stock reconciliation and documentation for timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in retail, liquor shops, FMCG, or trading.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting practices.
• Experience in inventory and stock accounting, including stock reconciliation and variance checking.
• Knowledge of excise-related accounting and record management is an advantage.
• Experience handling supplier invoices, customer invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle supplier invoices, customer invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes.
• Perform inventory and stock accounting, including stock reconciliation and variance checking.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting regulations.
• Monitor and identify stock, cash, and accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and financial records.
• Support financial reporting and other accounting-related functions as required.
