The purpose of this role

This position involves using magnetic resonance and radiofrequency pulses & dynamic function imaging in accordance with statutory regulations to examine how the body & organs function and to deliver the results to the Radiologist.

• Use evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines to produce high-quality images for a range of imaging procedures.
• Be aware of safeguarding policies, both local and national, and implement such policies as necessary.
• Assess clinical conditions, prioritize health problems, including the initiation of effective emergency care.
• Ensure that patients are prepared for their procedures and have been given all relevant information before imaging.
• Manage own client caseload, including interpretation of test results with referral to physicians as necessary.
• Provide emergency care to patients as needed and attend annual resuscitation training.
• Have the ability to authorize referrals for primary imaging, ensuring procedures are justified, and escalate concerns as they arise.

The Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge

• MBBS or MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution AND completion of specialty qualification recognized by Dubai Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Health Authority, or the UAE Ministry of Health.
• Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Internal Medicine.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff.
• Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing); Arabic skills are an advantage.
• Excellent computer literacy skills.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly regarded.

Additional Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography.
• Current DHA / HAAD / MOH licensure.
• Minimum 2+ years experience as a Radiology Technician.
