A leading Government entity and investor is seeking a Private Equity Manager to oversee fund investments, direct deals, and co-investment opportunities within the Private Markets division. Reporting to the Head of Private Equity, this individual will play a key role in executing investment strategies, leading due diligence, and monitoring portfolio performance to support the fund’s long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead due diligence on private equity fund managers and evaluate co-investment opportunities in alignment with portfolio strategy.
• Oversee analysis and monitoring of fund mandates, including performance, risk, and valuation metrics.
• Manage the investment opportunity pipeline and capital commitment planning to meet NAV targets.
• Prepare high-quality reports and investment committee materials detailing search progress, performance analysis, and portfolio insights.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with internal governance standards.

Direct Investments & Co-Investments :

• Source, assess, and lead co-investment and direct investment opportunities across various sectors.
• Drive the full deal process : initial screening, financial modelling, in-depth due diligence, investment memo preparation, execution, and post-closing oversight.
• Monitor portfolio companies, lead regular performance reviews, and ensure alignment with return expectations and strategic goals.
• Represent the institution in board-level engagements, including budgeting, executive hiring approvals, strategic planning, and incentive schemes.
• Define and manage reporting standards from portfolio companies, assessing performance of both businesses and their leadership teams.

Candidate Profile :

• 7+ years’ experience in private equity, investment management, or institutional fund investing, ideally within a sovereign wealth fund or similar entity.
• Strong track record of leading both fund and direct / co-investment activity.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills; ability to evaluate complex investment structures and strategies.
• Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
