Overview of the role :

As the Data Capability Manager within the Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative data and analytics solutions, ensuring Al Futtaim remains at the forefront of technical excellence in Data Platform Capabilities, particularly Web-based Full Stack development. This pivotal role involves working with a dynamic team, optimizing current processes, and leading Azure-based development projects while incorporating global best practices. Your mission is to harness data's power to drive business success, blending technical mastery, strategic thinking, and leadership.

What you will do :

• Guide and develop a high-performing Data Capability team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and collaboration. Ensure alignment with business goals and the delivery of exceptional outcomes.
• Apply your expertise in Full Stack Development and Data Engineering tools to refine and expand our data capabilities.
• Lead the end-to-end process of designing, documenting, developing, implementing, and testing prototypes that demonstrate data's value. Present these to stakeholders, showcasing potential business impact.
• Analyze diverse data sources and develop scalable data assets.
• Oversee the development and integration of Web Apps, Function Apps, and custom user interfaces, ensuring robust data modeling, quality, governance, and security.
• Create reusable and scalable data assets supporting current and future projects.
• Manage the integration of our Data Platform with web-based solutions and custom UIs.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams, demonstrating strong team-player qualities.
• Adapt to agile and waterfall methodologies, guiding teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Lead the team through dynamic project environments to meet and exceed expectations.
• Proven experience in leading Web Based Full Stack development projects.
• Advanced proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, with a deep understanding of data structures and principles.
• Expertise in WebApps development including backend development with ASP.net, MVC, C#, and Azure MFA Authentication integration.
• Strong skills in SQL, Server Management, and Azure Environment.
• Excellent debugging skills for Azure App service and database logs.
• Experience integrating with external Token-based APIs like Graph API for Azure AD management.
• Expertise in building Function Apps using Python (OOP), managing Azure resources, and developing VS custom codes.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and GIT for code management.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering components such as Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, Databricks UI, Unity Catalog, SCIM Integration, External Location, Databricks cluster, and job management.
• Experience with Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Function Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cosmos DB.

Required Skills to be successful :

• UAE national
• At least 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics platforms
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in web-based data portals and tools management.
• Minimum 3+ years of building and managing data pipelines with multiple source system integrations, from conception to delivery.
• Knowledge of Data Analytics tools like Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP (BW / BO / ERP) and ETL tools is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Certifications in Data & Analytics platforms are a plus.
