SOCOTEC is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to deliver quality structural engineering services for UAE clients in Abu Dhabi. You will perform site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations and project requirements, and verify that work aligns with approved drawings and MePS where applicable.

You will review documents, ensure adherence to standards, prepare site inspection reports, and uphold safety, quality, and environmental procedures across the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Minimum 10 years of verifiable experience in UAE
• Valid Engineers Card is required; MOHRE verification may be involved
• Experience outside UAE must be attested by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs to proceed

Responsabilidades

• Review documents per Management level and Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, regulations, etc.
• Elaborate and submit Site Inspection reports
• Ensure construction activities (steel reinforcement) comply with approved designs and quality standards
• Match site conditions to approved drawings and demonstrate MePS knowledge

Description of the Role

• Responsible for the delivery of the quality structural engineering services to SOCOTEC clients.
• Perform site inspections to ensure adherence to local regulations and compliance with project requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with relevant instructions
• Comply with SOCOTECs group policies and procedures
• Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for the relevant consultancy disciplines

Main Tasks

• Proceed with the review of documents according to the level of checking designated by the Management and in line with the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Municipality
• Ensure compliance with standards best practice codes regulations etc...
• Elaborate and submit Site Inspection reports.
• Ensure that all construction activities (specifically steel reinforcement placement) comply with approved designs specifications regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• The successful candidate has to prove his ability to match site conditions to approved drawings and shall display knowledge of the Municipal e-Permitting System (MePS)

• To comply with Socotec International and client quality safety and environmental systems and procedures at all times.
• Ensure that all accidents incidents near misses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

Qualifications :

Minimum 10 years of verifiable experience in UAE is required (preferably in the Emirate of Abu Dhbai). This shall be verified through MOHRE. A valid Engineers Card is to be presented.

If the candidate possesses experience outside of the UAE then it has to be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to proceed with his candidacy.
