Job summary

A regional airline is seeking a Second in Command to ensure the safe operation of flights, assisting the Captain in various responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma, be fluent in English and Arabic, and possess the necessary flying hours and medical certification. This position embodies customer focus and team collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • 225 hours flying time (ages 20-34), 1000 hours flying time (ages 35-50).
  • GCAA Air-law exam (for foreign license holders) ELP level 4 or above.
  • 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe operation of the aircraft during normal and non-normal situations.
  • Assist the Captain in maintaining safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Support the commander in fueling, baggage/cargo loading, and servicing of the aircraft.

Job description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

  • To ensure the safe operation of the aircraft (as ‘Second in Command’) during both normal and non-normal situations, under the directives of a Captain or the aircraft Commander, and if applicable, the First Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides continuous input and assistance to the Captain in ensuring that flights are operated in a safe and efficient manner. .
  • Acts as a brand ambassador of the airline, especially while on duty, and maintains a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for the duty of care and welfare of the crew and customers.
  • Supports the commander in ensuring the appropriate fueling, baggage/cargo loading and appropriate servicing of the aircraft.
  • Ensures the proper execution of his/her duties that are specific in the instructions and procedures laid down in the flydubai Operations Manuals.

Qualifications

Isr Requirements

  • Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
