Job summary

Arab African International Bank in Dubai seeks a Credit Officer to manage borrowers’ limits, pricing, and loan applications in the core banking system. You will process settlements, monitor maturities, and ensure actions align with credit approvals and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, finance or related field.
• Officer level: 1-2 years in the Middle East.
• Senior Officer: 3-5 years in the Middle East.

Job description

• Adding and adjusting borrowers’ limits, borrowing pricing, GL Advance dues on system as per the credit approvals including Creating Bilateral and Syndication Loan on system.
• Process all the kinds of settlement related to the type of facility based on the maturity date and/or client requests presented by the LOB and alert LOB in case of insufficient funds or required action to finalize the settlements
• Handles and approves daily transaction (Cheques, Transfer, LGs, LCs, .. Etc) related to borrowers are promptly responded to as per credit approval terms and conditions and LOB is alerted in case of further requirements
• Check the initial credit appraisals to ensure proposed limits are aligned with the policies and regulations and applicable on the core banking system for further review.
• Checks & process all approval vehicles (CAs/OTs/Contract Memos) before their presentation for further review to confirm the status of documentation and terms & conditions, as well as the limits and outstanding are reflected properly.
• Checks the legal documentation including the constitutional documents upon receipt from the business line to confirm borrowing authority and to ensure correctness and accuracy of completed documents based on the last approved vehicle and ensure maintaining the original documents in safe custody and that proper controls are in place.
• Follows the checklist for the received LOB credit application files and all its related documents and ensure completeness and compliance with the policies and procedures while highlight any deviation to CAD Lead.
• Add/update control sheets for monitoring of all borrowers’ securities and relevant covenants as per approved CAs as well as monitoring control sheets of project receivables/PPCs against the exposure of the contract finance facilities
• Prepare internal reports (Past dues, unmet conditions report, etc.) and external reporting (CBUAE, AECB) within the required timeframe

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree of commerce, business administration, finance or any related discipline
• Officer: 1-2 Years’ experience in related field with experience in the Middle East.
• Senior Officer: 3-5 Years’ experience in related field with experience in the middle east.
