Job summary

ALJAWSAQ GENERAL TRADING is seeking a Purchasing Officer with industry insight to open supplier files, read quotations and quickly judge price and specs.

Responsibilities include building supplier base, negotiating quotations and terms, verifying specs, tracking shipments, and staying compliant with incoterms. UAE-based candidates preferred, strong English required; Arabic/Turkish/Mandarin an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years purchasing or sourcing experience in AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PARTS.
• Proven experience negotiating directly with manufacturers.
• Strong English.
• Arabic, Turkish or Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a supplier base of manufacturers for our target product categories
• Request compare and negotiate quotations payment terms and delivery schedules
• Verify specifications and OEM compliance before shipment and follow up on quality after arrival
• Track shipments and their documentation through to receipt
• Study demand in target markets and develop the product range accordingly
• Attend trade fairs and identify new manufacturing partners
• Keep item pricing and supplier data accurate in company systems
