Job summary

Edge is seeking a Turbofan Performance Engineer in Abu Dhabi to drive thermodynamic cycle analyses across concept to certification. You will model engine cycles, set performance envelopes, and collaborate with the aircraft performance team to optimize SFC and thrust while ensuring operability and mission success.

The role requires advanced degrees in aerospace, turbomachinery, or related fields, and 4+ years in turbofan contexts, with programming in Python and simulation tools.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in aerospace-related field.
Experience in turbofan architecture, compressor and turbine matching, engine operability, SFC analysis.
Fluent in English.
4+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain engine thermodynamic cycle models.
Define engine deck and operating envelopes and performance targets.
Interface with aircraft performance team.
Optimize SFC, thrust, thermal efficiency, engine operability, mission performance.
Advise on architecture design.
Support system integration and ensure overall engine performance consistency.
Support test activities and instrumentation plan; participate in engine test analysis.
