Job description

Treasury Officer, Operations and Services

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. Established in Beijing in 2016, AIIB has grown to 110 approved members worldwide. Capitalized at USD 100 billion and rated AAA by major credit agencies, AIIB collaborates with partners to meet clients' needs by unlocking new capital and investing in green, technology-enabled infrastructure that promotes regional connectivity.

The primary responsibility of the Treasury Officer, Operations and Services, is to ensure efficient processing of all post-trading functions—including confirmations, settlement, reconciliation, corporate actions management, and cash flow forecasting—within the Treasury activities. The role also involves ensuring that the Bank's derivatives and repos portfolios are adequately collateralized. The officer will represent the team in system or instrument implementation projects and liaise with outsourced service providers. This position reports to the Head of Treasury Operations & Services and collaborates closely with other Treasury staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure completeness and correctness of trade bookings in trading and treasury systems.
  2. Ensure correct and timely settlement of Treasury transactions (securities, fixed income, derivatives).
  3. Process margin calls related to derivatives and repos portfolios, primarily focusing on liquidity transactions, and support colleagues handling investment and funding deals.
  4. Contribute to the implementation of Treasury systems and instruments.
  5. Ensure internal controls are performed effectively, aligning with the Bank's evolving needs.
  6. Participate in daily cash and securities reconciliations.
  7. Monitor work performed by outsourced Middle and Back Office service providers.
  8. Serve as a focal point for audit queries, providing reports and data as needed.
  9. Implement and maintain data dashboards.
  10. Process monthly invoices for outsourced service providers.
  11. Proactively improve Treasury processes through technology, automation, and best practices.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a leading international bank, multilateral development bank, or international organization.
  • Proficiency with SWIFT, securities transactions, cash management, collateral management, and treasury systems.
  • Experience with cash correspondent models and custodians.
  • Strong client response skills and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills, with an innovation and automation mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in business administration or finance; professional certifications are advantageous.

AIIB values diversity, transparency, and inclusion, encouraging applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background. Join us in promoting sustainable infrastructure investments across Asia and beyond.
