Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Simulator Technician to maintain and support state-of-the-art simulators across naval and air domains in the UAE. The role requires traveling between sites, providing flexible technical coverage, and surge support to ensure operational continuity.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, training of technicians, and participation in refurbishments. The position demands English fluency and a valid UAE driving license, with shifts and some

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct Simulator experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot to system level on multiple simulator types.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic and test equipment.
• Ability to use and interpret all diagnostics available on simulators.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance pre- and post-training checks on any simulator in the fleet.
• Ability to perform in-depth visual adjustments and setups on at least one visual system.
• Ability to assist with refurbishments and other hardware modifications.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and simulator configurations with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid UAE Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and correct routine issues on the simulators.
• Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Train technicians in basic skills and complete required training.
• Support refurbishments and hardware modifications as needed.
• Coordinate with sites to maintain consistent technical standards and practices.
