Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand client travel needs and suggest suitable holiday packages.
  • Create customized itineraries (domestic and international) as per client budgets and preferences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of destinations, visas, airlines, hotels, and activities.
  • Close sales deals and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Handle end-to-end booking operations: from quotation to confirmation.
  • Build long-term client relationships for repeat business and referrals.
  • Manage pre-departure and post-travel queries or complaints promptly.
  • Coordinate with vendors (hotels, airlines, local tour operators) for smooth execution.
  • Maintain CRM entries accurately (lead updates, follow-ups, status reports).
  • Represent the company professionally at travel fairs, exhibitions, and online meetings.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Conversion Rate: % of leads converted to confirmed bookings.
  • Average Revenue per Client: Value of sales per transaction/client.
  • Client Satisfaction Score: Based on post-travel feedback (e.g., NPS or surveys).
  • Repeat Business & Referrals: Number of repeat clients or referrals per quarter.
  • Operational Accuracy: % of error-free bookings and documentation.
  • Response Time: Average turnaround time from lead inquiry to first response.
  • Cross-Selling Rate: Sale of add-ons like travel insurance, visa assistance, upgrades, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism / Hospitality / Business Administration or relevant field. Certification in Travel (IATA/ UFTAA) preferred.

Experience 1–5 years in travel agencies, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), or holiday sales. Freshers with internships in tourism sales may be considered for junior roles.

Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), strong sales and negotiation skills, itinerary planning, destination knowledge, and CRM handling.

Technology Experience in GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo), CRM software, MS Office (Word, Excel,PPT)

Personality: Outgoing, persuasive, customer-focused, proactive problem-solver, able to work under pressure.

Languages: English fluency required. Additional languages (Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, etc.) are a plus.

Other Requirements: Flexible to work in rotational shifts (especially for international clients), willing to travel occasionally for destination training (FAM trips).

Bonus Points:

  • Certification in "Sales in Tourism" programs.
  • Social media marketing knowledge (for promoting packages).
  • Experience in handling both B2C and B2B tourism clients.
  • Exposure to luxury travel, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) tourism is a plus.
