Job summary

Elliott is seeking an Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of all products, including purchased parts, through review of customer specifications during and after quote, and by developing and maintaining quality plans and procedures. The role includes supplier audits, root-cause analysis, QARs, and on-site inspections to verify conformance to EEE and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field; minimum five years’ experience, or associate’s with 10+ years.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Quality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, CQT, CQM, CRE or NDE Level III are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site QMS audits and risk assessments of potential suppliers.
• Evaluates supplier capability to provide quality parts and services.
• Supports development of a strong regional supplier base through performance management and audits.
• Drives supplier corrective actions using root cause analysis and quality tools (8D, A3).
• Previews customer specifications and provides comments/exceptions to quality, inspection, and testing items.
• Develops and maintains quality and component plans for standard parts and components.
• Writes and revises procedures to meet EEE quality initiatives.
• Leads supplier quality system audits and supplier pre-inspection meetings.
• Handles NCR disposition and supplier defect reviews.
