Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations in the UAE, including VAT.
Handle travel-specific accounting tasks such as processing supplier invoices (hotels, airlines, etc.), agent commissions, and reconciliation of travel-related accounts.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in an accounting department.
Essential: Demonstrated experience in travel and tourism accounting within the United Arab Emirates. This includes familiarity with industry-specific transactions, such as supplier payments, agent commissions, and revenue recognition in the travel sector.
Proficiency in accounting software; experience with travel-specific accounting systems or ERPs is a strong advantage. Familiarity with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
