Job description

The Training Manager will play a central role in supporting the delivery and coordination of high-quality training services to Iqarus clients, with a particular focus on military and government sectors within the UAE and the wider region. The role requires a strong understanding of client-facing work and the ability to interpret training requirements within contractual parameters.

The Training Manager will be responsible for translating client training requests into structured, compliant, and operationally sound delivery plans, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency with service agreements and company standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining training excellence on the ground and supporting the execution of key contracts.

The ideal candidate will be a practical operator, able to lead from the front when required, and confident in engaging directly with clients. Previous experience working in the Gulf region is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering training that is operationally viable, compliant, and impactful.

Duties and responsibilities :

Client Engagement and Needs Analysis

  • Engage directly with clients, particularly military and government stakeholders, to assess and interpret training needs.
  • Translate client requirements into structured training delivery plans that meet contract specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy in scope delivery, avoiding deviation from contracted obligations while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Training Delivery and Quality Control

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of training programmes, ensuring content, instructors, and logistical arrangements meet required standards.
  • Monitor training quality and learner engagement, adapting delivery methods as necessary to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Assist in updating and refining training materials in line with evolving standards, client feedback, and operational needs.

Operational Coordination and Compliance

  • Coordinate resources, facilities, and personnel to ensure smooth execution of training programmes.
  • Maintain an overview of stock, equipment, and logistics associated with training delivery, ensuring readiness and availability.
  • Ensure all training activities adhere to internal policies, accreditation standards, and applicable international or regional regulations.

Stakeholder Liaison and Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the SDO and other internal teams to ensure training delivery aligns with broader business goals.
  • Collaborate with business development, contracts, and project management teams to ensure client expectations are met consistently.
  • Support the SDO or senior leadership with data and insight as required.

Hands-On Involvement and Adaptability

  • Be prepared to assume an instructional, facilitation, or logistical role as needed to support delivery, especially in high-tempo or remote environments.
  • Respond flexibly to shifting priorities or urgent operational requirements, maintaining a practical and solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering or managing training services, ideally in health, security, defence, or public sector domains.
  • Previous exposure to working with or for military or government institutions preferred.
  • Proven ability to interpret and operationalise training requests in line with contractual obligations.
  • Experience working in the GCC region is desirable.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and quality assurance processes within a training or service delivery context.
  • Practical experience in hands-on training delivery and logistical coordination.
  • Ability to operate effectively in remote, austere, or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
