This leading UAE-based main contractor is seeking an SOP & Training Manager to standardize and rollout a training & management system across the group. This organization has a turnover of approximately 5 billion AED and has experienced a 36% increase in work, being asked to price work at a single source. With long-term relationships, a proven track record of success, and Emirati shareholders, they hold a strong position in the UAE construction market. Based in Dubai with full group coverage across all divisions and departments, this role requires a fundamental understanding of successful site operations.
The candidate will develop and adapt the Quality Management System to ensure best practices are implemented and maintained. The client is a long-term partner of NSR Associates with 17 years of working relationship, offering extensive capabilities across MEP, Fit Out, Modular, Piling, Marine, FM & Construction, with over 500 iconic projects ranging from £20 million to £1.1 billion. They possess strong political links across private and government sectors.
Due to significant growth, the group is investing in standardizing internal policies and procedures to support future success. The role demands an energetic, driven individual with strong communication skills and emotional intelligence, capable of engaging diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds. You will present to Arabic, Asian, Western audiences, ensuring messages are effectively understood.
You will be based full-time in Dubai (20 minutes from the Marina), with responsibilities including visiting sites, training facilities, and stakeholders. You will manage SOPs and management systems to uphold operational excellence, working alongside a QHSE Manager. Your role involves making department heads accountable, upskilling staff, and ensuring audit readiness in line with best practices.
The General Manager is open to candidates from educational/training backgrounds in construction, or those with quality management experience who have implemented Quality Management Systems. Key qualities include relationship-building, understanding policies and processes, and a process-driven, highly organized approach to meet deadlines and targets.
