Job description

Scope and Purpose:

Responsibility for the design, development and testing of reports for our software suite. An extremely exciting task, an international customer base and a dynamic and highly motivated team awaits you.

Key Result Areas & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to fulfill the customer’s business needs in terms of highly customized reports.

2. You start elaborating on stakeholder requirements and provide under consideration of the overall product architecture of our software landscape a suitable solution.

3. Design, implement and test assigned reports and integrate with components developed by other team members.

4. Assist the sales & project team with effort estimates for new reports and/or enhancements to existing reports.

5. Actively resolve problems arising during various phases of the development.

6. Create proof of concepts (PoCs) to validate design assumptions.

7. Contribute to software Development process improvement activities.

8. Present, argue and adapt solution designs with the internal/external stakeholders in customer workshops.

9. Regularly report the level of progress to management in a structured manner.

10. Create technical documentation for project management, customers, suppliers.

11. Carry out customer trainings in person or virtually.

Job Requirements:

1. Technical university degree or comparable training (Computer science).

2. Several years of experience in developing reports using SAP Business Intelligence (BI) for Analytics (SAP BO).

3. Several years of experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL) technologies and familiar in profound in DB queries, DB views and scripting.

4. Strong in object oriented analysis, design and development skills.

5. Good troubleshooting and debugging skills with distributed multi-tier applications.

6. Certification in Web Intelligence in Business Intelligence (BI) for Analytics is preferred.

7. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high quality software.

8. Experience in SAP BO Administration.

9. Experience with Report Development Tools:

   1. SAP Business Objects (required).

   2. BIRT (nice to have).

   3. Version control (TFS DevOps).

10. Experience with industry standard version control and defect management tools. You feel comfortable as a team player in independent collaboration with international and virtual global teams.

11. Very high analytical skills, structured and solution-oriented approach and know how to take a team along with you and convince them with your coherent argumentation.

12. Co-ordinate well with a team, yet work independently towards a common goal.

13. Willing to learn and grow within the organization.

14. Willingness to travel internationally ideally rounds off your profile.
