Job summary

Nooralsahara in Dubai seeks a Traffic Engineer – Roadworks & Infrastructure to lead the development and implementation of traffic management plans for major roadworks and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, at least 7 years in traffic engineering, and RTA Dubai experience, with duties spanning coordination with authorities, site assessments, and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic engineering, roadworks, and infrastructure construction projects.
• Must have previous RTA Dubai experience.
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles, construction methodologies, and road safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement TMPs and TDPs for roadworks and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, local authorities, and utility providers for approvals and permits.
• Assess site traffic conditions and recommend safe, efficient traffic control measures.
• Supervise installation, inspection, and maintenance of temporary traffic control devices, signage, barriers, and road markings.
• Monitor traffic operations and construction staging to ensure safe flow and compliance with plans.
• Conduct site inspections and traffic safety audits to verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Investigate traffic incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain traffic management documentation including reports and permits.
• Collaborate with project, construction, planning, and safety teams to integrate requirements.
• Identify improvements to traffic management processes and road user safety.
