Trading Operations Specialist

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented professional to support the launch and ramp-up of a new trading desk focused on softs, grains, and oilseeds. This role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth trade execution and operational support as the desk begins commercial activity.

The ideal candidate will be execution-driven with a strong understanding of trade flows, logistics, and contract follow-through. This is not a management position but requires someone confident working independently and closely with traders to handle end-to-end trade execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the execution of physical trades across dry bulk and containerized commodities (mainly cocoa, grains, oilseeds)
2. Oversee documentation, contract fulfillment, shipment scheduling, and payment terms
3. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, freight providers, and counterparties to ensure timely delivery and risk mitigation
4. Troubleshoot issues related to execution delays, payment discrepancies, and operational bottlenecks
5. Maintain accurate records of shipments and trade documentation
6. Provide support on commercial activities such as rate negotiation and market follow-up where needed
7. Contribute to the operational setup and structure of the new desk, establishing best practices as the platform grows
