Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior M&A professional to lead the execution of strategic opportunities across its Trading and Downstream ecosystem.

From origination and screening to business case development, valuation, due diligence and negotiation support, you will drive deals through to approval with governance committees.

The role requires 10–12 years in M&A or related fields, energy sector experience, and advanced financial modelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking or strategy.
• Experience in energy, Oil & Gas, downstream or commodity trading is strongly preferred.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills with knowledge of due diligence.
• Knowledge of investment governance frameworks and external advisor management.

Responsibilities

• Originate, screen and prioritize M&A, JV, partnership and divestment opportunities.
• Lead day-to-day execution across all phases including due diligence, valuation and deal documentation.
• Develop robust business cases and valuation models (DCF, comparables) with return metrics.
• Coordinate due diligence with internal teams and external advisors.
• Prepare investment committee and Board submissions with strong assumptions and governance.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align methodologies and commercial positioning.
