Qualifications

Job description

JOB CONTENT

To manufacture mould parts using CNC machine tools as per the approved design with required quality and finish with optimum utilization of man and machine.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Inspect raw materials and products to ensure there are no visual defects; take corrective action as needed.
2. Setup the job using the CNC machine in total compliance with the specifications provided in accordance to the standard operating instructions within the allotted time frame.
3. Prepare simple program in machine control.
4. Keep all assigned machines running for production ensuring productivity is maintained at 100 or above through proper setups and operation of machinery to minimize cost to the department while maintaining schedule integrity.
5. Ensure efficient and profitable operation of the defined work center by optimum usage of tools, consumables, etc.
6. Conduct stage inspection of the product at required phases and make necessary records accordingly.
7. Recognize potential problems with products or processes and inform superiors to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
8. Conduct preventive maintenance daily to ensure equipment is in good working condition by oiling, greasing and periodically freeing equipment of chips.
9. Ensure machine maintenance is scheduled in collaboration with maintenance department and adhere to it.
10. To ensure proper documentation of work done and in a manner well accessible every time.
11. Maintain log book to ensure proper communication regarding machine error/program error/missing program/accidents.
12. Ensure proper handing over of machine and instruction communicated to next shift operator.
13. Train and guide the helpers in operating the machine as per SOP when instructed.
14. Strictly follow housekeeping procedures including machine and tool equipment cleaning and ensure the surrounding area is absolutely clean and in order.
15. Follow company’s HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertaken and follow safety precautions highlighted in the SOP & manuals. Communicate potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
16. Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority.
17. Ensure that all records and documents are up to date and have full traceability and retrieval at all times and that all processes, procedures & activities comply with ISO and management procedures.
18. Perform any other job/task given by the Production Supervisor to accomplish department objectives.

ITI (Machinist / Fitter)

Experience

Minimum 12 years of CNC Machining experience in an established tool room in UAE/GCC region.

Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
