Job Description & Requirements

The Trader is responsible for everyday activities, including performing research, implementing logistics, providing price and market information to the Product Manager, verifying the daily pricing of commodities, arranging meetings, and identifying business opportunities.

The candidate is expected to possess strong communication skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, computer competencies, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadline stress effectively.

Candidates who can handle their first one-year Dubai working visas on their own (until November 2026) will be given priority.

Responsibilities

* Be mainly engaged in the export business of synthetic resins and polyester products, with concurrent involvement in PTA and synthetic rubber.

* Keep up-to-date on market information and reflect market insights in trading strategies and positions.

* Work closely with the product manager and operations team to ensure smooth logistics and operations for the traded products.

* Plan and carry out direct or indirect marketing and sales activities for traded products.

* Maintain and develop key customers in the Petrochemical industry in the region.

* Collaborate with the company’s overseas network for chemical trading in the region.

* Monitor payments from clients and ensure sales transactions are completed within approved limits.

* Apply for new counterparty requests to the Marketing and Planning department and support registration with proper documentation.

* Prepare market reports and business proposals as required.

Requirements

• Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree or above.
• Work experience: More than 5 years of working experience in the chemical products or international trade industry. Candidates with experience in the synthetic resin industry will be given priority.

Basic capabilities:

• Clear understanding of contracts, transportation, and terms related to international trade.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Candidates with a good understanding of the synthetic resin and polyester markets and customer groups in Africa or South Asia are preferred.
• Able to travel overseas.
• Salary is negotiable based on experience and performance.
