Job Overview

First Abu Dhabi Bank is hiring a Trade Finance Operations Specialist to support its Singapore Desk operations from the UAE. This position focuses on delivering BAU services for trade finance, remittances, and loan products while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in trade operations, strong product knowledge, and familiarity with MAS and AML/CFT frameworks.

Role Details

The Trade Finance Operations Specialist - Singapore Desk UAE will support daily trade operations and risk management processes. Responsibilities include transaction processing, system bookings, SLA monitoring, customer coordination, and participation in audits and UAT initiatives. The role works closely with the Head of Trade Operations to ensure alignment with FAB Group policies and global compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process, review, and authorize trade finance and loan transactions as per DOA.
  2. Handle all product categories including LC, Guarantees, Bills, Syndicated Loans, and Remittances.
  3. Ensure timely booking, settlement, and document delivery across supported products.
  4. Provide effective customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving escalations.
  5. Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies and processing issues.
  6. Maintain compliance with AML/CFT controls and regulatory frameworks.
  7. Coordinate with stakeholders on system enhancements and participate in UAT.
  8. Support internal and external audit requirements and contribute to risk reviews.
  9. Update operating procedures and ensure documentation reflects process changes.
  10. Maintain proper filing, tracking, and retrieval of transactional records.
  11. Collaborate with team managers to deliver high service standards and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in trade finance operations within a reputable bank.
  3. Strong understanding of trade products, loans, and international remittance flows.
  4. Familiarity with MAS guidelines and global regulatory expectations.
  5. Experience in implementing operational controls and working with audit teams.
  6. Strong English communication skills and ability to work across departments.
  7. Familiarity with cross-product support including GTS and Lending operations.
  8. Proactive team player with solid organizational and analytical skills.
