Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is recruiting experienced General Repair Technicians to join its Toyota and Lexus teams across the United Arab Emirates. The role combines vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs using diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools.

Overview of the role includes diagnosing problems across engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical and hybrid systems, with on-site work at multiple UAE locations and adherence to the Fix It

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician in a large automotive dealership.
• Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing mechanical repairs.
• Ability to operate automotive diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools.
• Fluent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanical repair work.
• Use diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools to identify vehicle faults.
• Carry out basic diagnosis and mechanical repairs according to workshop requirements.
• Inspect engine, transmission, brake, suspension, air conditioning, electrical and hybrid systems.
• Perform unit repairs and air-conditioning component replacement.
• Follow the Fix It Right process to support accurate diagnosis and reduce repeat repairs.
• Assist the Technical Advisor in capturing information for Repair Support Requests.
• Support preparation of Branch Field Technical Reports for escalated cases.
• Apply practical technical and mechanical skills during vehicle inspection and repair.
• Participate in hands-on training and continue developing technical knowledge.
