Tower Crane Operator
Job description
- Safely operate and control tower cranes to lift, lower, and move materials on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct daily inspections of the crane and its components to identify any mechanical issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors and riggers to determine load requirements and ensure precise placement of materials.
- Monitor weather conditions and site conditions to make informed decisions about crane operation, prioritizing safety at all times.
- Maintain clear communication with ground crew via hand signals or radio to coordinate lifts and avoid accidents.
- Keep accurate logs of crane operations, including load weights, lift times, and maintenance activities for accountability and safety audits.
- Adhere to all local regulations and industry standards regarding crane operation, ensuring compliance to avoid penalties.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in crane operation.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of the crane, ensuring it is securely positioned for optimal performance.

Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education in crane operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating tower cranes in construction or related industries.
- Certification from a recognized body for crane operation is required to ensure compliance with safety standards.
