Job Description
A Tower crane & Passenger hoist draughtsperson, preparing detailed drawings related to the setup, operation, and dismantling of tower cranes. Here are some specific job roles:
Core Task: Creating 2D/3D CAD drawings of crane layouts and elevation for job sites.
Software Used: AutoCAD
Deliverables: Lift plans, erection/dismantle diagrams, crane base and tie-in details.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for tower crane setups, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints specific to crane operations.
- Utilize CAD software to produce precise drawings, ensuring clear communication of technical specifications to construction teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance drawing quality and compliance.
- Provide technical support during crane assembly and operation phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate cranes and lifting equipment based on project requirements and site limitations.
- Review and modify existing crane designs as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope or site conditions.
- Identify potential hazards and implement safety measures in designs, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel involved.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess site conditions, enabling accurate designs and crane placement strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other design tools specifically for crane applications.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in crane design or construction engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of local and international safety regulations related to crane operations is essential.
- Experience in high-rise construction projects, particularly with tower cranes, is highly desirable.
- Certification in crane operations or rigging is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality and accurate design documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
