Tile Mason

• Tile Installation: Install various types of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.) on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to design specifications and project requirements.
  Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, ensuring accurate layout and alignment.
  
• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including leveling floors, cleaning surfaces, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment's.
  Repair damaged surfaces as needed before tile installation.
  
• Cutting and Shaping Tiles: Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish tiles, ensuring precision and clean edges.
  Calculate and estimate the amount of tile, adhesive, and other materials needed for each job.
  
• Grouting and Sealing: Apply grout to joints between tiles and ensure a smooth finish.
  Seal tiles and grout as necessary to enhance durability and protect against moisture and stains.
  
• Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and design specifications.
  Address any issues or imperfections in the tile work before final inspection.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, electricians) to coordinate work schedules and ensure project timelines are met.
  Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide recommendations as needed.
  
• Maintenance and Repairs: Assist in the repair and maintenance of existing tiled surfaces as per customer requests.
  Provide ongoing maintenance advice to clients regarding care and upkeep of tiled areas.
  
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
  Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
  
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, and progress on projects.
  Provide regular updates to project supervisors on project status.
  
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and techniques in tile installation and renovation.

• Experience: Proven experience as a tile mason or in a similar role, ideally in a renovation or construction setting.
