The Threat Assessment Controller will effectively implement a 24/7 aviation security reporting system, as well as threat assessment and risk management processes, in accordance with Etihad standards and applicable regulations.

Accountabilities

1. Be aware of and knowledgeable about all relevant Etihad aviation security policies, standards, requirements, and procedures, as well as applicable regulations, outlined in security programs, manuals, bulletins, directives, and other related documents.
2. Manage the operations of the Threat Assessment Centre as the 24/7 point of contact for security reporting.
3. Oversee the ‘SeMS’ aviation security reporting system within Etihad Airways, liaising, communicating, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders regarding security reporting, threat assessment, and risk management processes.
4. Perform threat assessments and risk management to identify, control, and review security threats, and recommend risk mitigation measures.
5. Ensure compliance with processes, procedures, systems, and documentation under your responsibility to meet Etihad and regulatory requirements.
6. Act as deputy for the Manager of the Threat Assessment Centre to ensure business continuity and perform other tasks as directed.

Education & Experience

1. University degree, preferably in security or management.
2. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in aviation security management.
3. Deep knowledge of civil aviation security standards and regulations, and their application in operational settings.
4. Strong understanding of security threat assessment and risk management, and their implementation.
5. Completion of Security Management System and Risk Management courses from ICAO, IATA, or recognized institutions.
6. Certification as a Threat Assessor.
7. Fluent in verbal and written English.
8. Proficient in MS Office applications.
