Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Testing & Commissioning lead to oversee MEP and Firefighting T&C across multiple projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires managing commissioning plans, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with codes and contractual obligations.

You will supervise T&C efforts, mentor junior engineers and ensure safety and quality standards on site, delivering detailed handover documentation and test certificates upon project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in Testing & Commissioning with 5+ years in the UAE/GCC construction.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and electrical systems commissioning.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects on tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and supervise all Testing & Commissioning activities across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Firefighting systems.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, strategies and schedules in coordination with project teams.
• Review design documents, method statements, risk assessments and commissioning procedures to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and clients to resolve technical and operational issues during commissioning.
• Manage T&C teams to ensure timely execution of works and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Monitor system performance and prepare detailed reports, test certificates and handover documentation.
• Ensure all commissioning works are completed as per international codes, project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and training to junior engineers and site staff.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
