Job summary

Ghobash Group seeks an experienced commissioning engineer to plan and execute electrical/instrumentation testing at Abu Dhabi projects. You will run functional tests, SATs, loop checks, and integration tests while documenting results and maintaining records.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, reading of diagrams, and hands-on use of testing tools. Travel to project sites and clear communication with teams and clients are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Instrumentation or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in oil & gas, power, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and commissioning procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and control diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools, instruments, and software used in commissioning processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Additional Information :

• Certification in commissioning processes (e.g. Certified Commissioning Professional - CCP) is a plus.

• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications ATEX standards and intrinsically safe instrumentation is beneficial.
