Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Architect Engineer to lead the development and execution of robust test plans, ensuring the quality, reliability, and integration of complex engineering systems. This role bridges hardware, software, and systems disciplines to build test plans that validate production processes and workmanship across Orbitworks' production facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement comprehensive test plans aligned with engineering intent to ensure system quality and mission assurance.
2. Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks supporting continuous integration and testing.
3. Establish standardized testing guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including test infrastructure, electrical engineers, software scripters, and program managers to define and validate testing requirements.
5. Lead test verification processes and validate system integration at both component and system levels across different production phases.
6. Identify testing bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable insights to engineering and program teams.
7. Support testing operations, including on-site execution, data analysis, and reporting of test results.
8. Drive continuous improvement of test methodologies and environments.

Must Haves:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems or electrical engineering with a focus on testing and validation.
3. Proven experience in designing automated and manual test frameworks.
4. Strong understanding of system integration and test verification methodologies.
5. Proficiency in scripting and test automation tools (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent).
6. Strong problem-solving skills for efficient issue resolution.
7. Excellent communication skills and experience working across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience in aerospace or high-reliability systems testing.
2. Knowledge of industry-standard test and validation protocols.
3. Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) environments.
4. Certification in systems or quality engineering is a plus.
