The Role

A Territory Manager is responsible for revenue generation from a geographically assigned sales territory (or business portfolio) through servicing and retaining existing cargo customers and targeting new business opportunities.

Your Tasks
  1. Act as an ambassador for DHL, attending to customer needs professionally, friendly, and courteously.
  2. Develop and maintain high levels of rapport with all customers.
  3. Follow up on customer inquiries and direct customers to the appropriate DHL department for further information.
  4. Manage all customer-related information, communicate with the sales team, and ensure access to customer and territory data in sales systems.
  5. Promote DHL's brand image and values through appearance and behavior, reflecting high standards and fostering customer relationships.
  6. Establish customer agreements, ensure pricing guidelines are followed, and meet profitability targets.
  7. Review customer prices regularly and renegotiate when discrepancies between actual and promised volumes occur.
  8. Develop strategies to secure business from competitors and prospects swiftly.
  9. Build and maintain a prospects pipeline to support sales initiatives.
  10. Maximize DHL penetration in the assigned territory by exploiting all opportunities from existing and potential customers.
  11. Create and execute a personal sales plan and call cycle aimed at gaining new business and growing existing accounts to meet sales volume and profitability targets.
  12. Monitor customer performance, loyalty, and satisfaction to assess success and identify business risks.
  13. Implement corrective actions internally or with customers as needed.
