Job summary

A leading company specialized in pharmaceuticals is seeking a Tender Manager to manage government and institutional tender opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality management systems, preparing tender submissions, and coordinating effectively with clients and teams. A Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical or Biomedical is required alongside strong organizational and negotiation skills. Fluency in English is necessary, while proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is advantageous.

Job Description

  • Establish, document, implement, and maintain a quality management system, continually improving its effectiveness in accordance with the International Standard.
  • Follow up on tender opportunities (receiving tenders, preparing quotations, and submitting), supply awarded items on time, and ensure collection of due receivables.
  • Ensure timely receipt of tenders (governmental and private sector) and forward them to the concerned divisions (Pharma, Consumer, Medical, & Veterinary).
  • Assist in preparing quotations in collaboration with the concerned divisions and Finance Department to ensure timely submission of offers.
  • Develop tenders/quoting policies and create a work plan.
  • Understand the tender process and timeline across the market, and develop a schedule to meet relevant milestones.
  • Negotiate tenders and direct purchasing opportunities with government organizations.
  • Coordinate, manage, and ensure proper submission of tender bids by the respective institution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients during the tendering process.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of tender processes and submissions; address all clarifications efficiently within the allocated time.
  • Participate in tender and contract negotiations, and summarize discussions.
  • Follow up with clients after tender submissions.
  • Create a database for pre-qualifications, tenders, clarifications, and results.
  • Assist Business Line Managers in seeking and evaluating relevant opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly managerial reports based on the database.
  • Provide general administrative support.

Others

  • Coordinate with Supply & Demand teams for stock build to ensure timely supply.
  • Manage relationships with key institutional customers and government representatives.
  • Follow up on the supply of awarded items and monitor/deliver all pending L.P.Os.
  • Ensure collection of due receivables for tender business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical or Biomedical from a recognized university or institution.

Skills & Professional Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Arabic (advantageous).
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in tender, governmental, or institutional businesses.
