Job Description and Requirements

Mission

  • Perform project technical tasks assigned by the Instrumentation Discipline Lead, including design, checking, validation, testing, and engineering of Telecommunication Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Interface and coordinate with other project team specialists and designers.
  • Coordinate technical activities performed either by insourcing or outsourcing.

Tasks

The engineer executes activities within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. Tasks include:

  • A - Development of technology know-how and commercial support.
  • B - Feasibility studies.
  • C - Bidding phase / Development of commercial proposals.
  • Prepare Telecommunication Systems quantities for cost and erection work estimates.
  • Support discipline lead to define man hours and cost estimates.
  • D - Project execution:
    • Review client technical documentation and requirements.
    • Coordinate subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted documents.
    • Define engineering design basis and guidelines.
    • Prepare technical documentation for Telecommunication material and services requisitions and technical evaluations.
    • Provide technical support to project team.
    • Optimize Telecommunication Systems design for minimal cost and complexity, ensuring compliance with contractual and safety requirements.
    • Prepare Telecommunication systems functional specifications and data sheets.
    • Validate vendor BOQs.
    • Coordinate detailed engineering activities and ensure proper installation drawings.
    • Participate in F.A.T. activities and vendor workshops.
  • E - Construction and startup:
    • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests and functional checks.
    • Provide technical and engineering support during construction and commissioning phases.
