Job summary

Help AG, the Middle East's trusted cybersecurity partner, seeks an experienced Telco/Telecom Cybersecurity Engineer in Dubai. You will design and optimize security controls for Telco/5G environments, and develop MITRE ATT&CK aligned detection use cases with Splunk ES, dashboards and alerts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Telco/Telecom Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
• Understanding of 4G/5G security within telecom networks.
• Experience implementing MITRE ATT&CK-based use cases.
• Splunk / Splunk ES experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with SIEM, threat hunting or SOC tech.
• Strong knowledge of telecom attack techniques; role is technical.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimize cybersecurity controls and security use cases for Telco/5G environments.
• Develop and implement detection and monitoring use cases aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK & FiGHT framework.
• Work with Splunk / Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) to develop correlation rules, alerts, dashboards and security use cases.
• Analyze security events, network activity and threat indicators across telecom infrastructure.
• Support detection engineering, threat hunting and investigation of cyber threats targeting Telco/5G environments.
• Work with telecom technologies/vendors such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia and Mavenir.
• Collaborate with SOC, network, security and engineering teams to improve threat detection and response.
• Translate Telco-specific threats and attack techniques into practical SIEM/security monitoring use cases.
• Support customer-facing cybersecurity projects, technical implementation and security onboarding activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Hands-on experience in Telco/Telecom Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Practical understanding of 4G/5G security and telecom network environments.
• Experience implementing MITRE ATT&CK-based security/detection use cases.
• Splunk / Splunk ES experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with SIEM, detection engineering, threat hunting or SOC technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security and telecom attack techniques.
• This is a technical engineering role; GRC, audit and compliance-focused profiles will not be suitable.
