POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Technology Development Specialist will support all aspects of the Saudi Tech Center including technology development, business development, and customer support. Responsibilities will include:

• Using technology experience and engineering knowledge for the KBR technologies which includes Ammonia, Olefins, Specialty Chemicals.
• Drafting technology papers and technology information packages for clients, responding to client questions regarding technology, project execution, and deliverables.
• Leading technology sessions, presenting papers, building customer and partner relationships, and developing new/existing sales leads.
• Development and maintenance of relationships with key client decision makers and executives.
• Providing technology support of sales leads by participating in meetings and liaising between technology and sales teams.
• Supporting regional marketing events as a spokesperson for the business line.
• Coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Maintaining awareness and evaluating the state of the Saudi and GCC market, advising on business line strategy and technology development.
• Providing support to the evaluation and execution of alliances and acquisitions of relevant technologies.
• Under broad direction, interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

• BSc or MSc in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6+ years CURRENT experience in process technology.
• Capability to understand technology differences and convincingly argue the pros and cons of various technologies.
• Understanding challenges related to new technology implementation, including financial, environmental, legal, social, and technical aspects.
• Able to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments.
• Ability to clearly convey technical concepts and principles in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers, and KBR management.
• Master's in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
• MBA would be a plus.
• Experience in renewable energy, particularly its generation and storage in a chemical form to cope with its intermittency nature.
• Experience with business development is strongly desired.
• Operational experience in an ammonia or similar (e.g., methanol, nitric acid, etc.) plant or EPC experience would be a plus.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Must be willing and available for 25-50% domestic and international travel.
