Job description

The candidate's primary role will be responsible for leading the technology function in collaboration across capital projects. This role involves supporting the development and deployment of technology management programs aimed at providing technical support across the LTC portfolio. The candidate will drive innovation and excellence in project management functions and will be responsible for evaluating and selecting emerging technologies to enhance project delivery. Developing and maintaining technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and stakeholder expectations is essential. Collaboration with Joint Venture partners, vendors, and internal teams is crucial. A strong understanding of digital solutions such as data analytics and IoT for project management is required. Experience in construction sequencing and field operations is essential to inform technology decisions. A high-level academic qualification in engineering or a related technical discipline is necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills to coordinate workshops and demonstrations of new technologies. As a key leader, the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technological advancements. With a strong educational background and industry expertise, the candidate will champion innovative solutions that optimize project outcomes and contribute to the company's success in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities :

As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following :

  1. Engage with different client organizations, as well as business and engineering stakeholders, to identify, evaluate, develop, support, and execute technology deployment to maximize value realization.
  2. Lead the end-to-end implementation of execution technologies across multiple programs.
  3. Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps that add value and align with business challenges.
  4. Accelerate technology deployment by collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Conduct feasibility studies, including technical and economic evaluations of solutions, platforms, and new technologies.
  6. Perform technology scouting to identify innovative and value-added technologies.
  7. Develop business cases and cost/benefit analyses for technology deployment.
  8. Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project managers to deliver solutions meeting technical and business requirements.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and benefits of technology initiatives to stakeholders and senior management.
  10. Work with technology providers to develop and conduct tailored training programs for end-users.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting technology implementations.
  12. Ensure compliance with corporate standards, evaluate solution implementations, and introduce necessary standards and governance changes.
  13. Provide technical leadership and support to design, development, and operational teams.
  14. Facilitate workshops for technology evaluation and selection, and prepare high-level technical reports.

Minimum Requirements :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. 10+ years of experience as a Technology Coordinator or Consultant in large-scale industrial or construction projects, focusing on technology deployment.
  3. Good understanding of construction sequences, best practices, and latest construction technologies.
  4. Experience in developing business cases and benefit/cost analyses for downstream technology.
  5. Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Strong understanding of change management, engineering, design packages, and regulatory, safety, and risk mitigation requirements.
  7. Ability to demonstrate understanding of relevant industry regulations, standards, and sustainability considerations.
  8. Proven project management skills with successful delivery of complex technology implementations.
  9. Excellent collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  10. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
