Job Purpose
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Automation Systems, Sub Systems, equipment, and installations across all Operations Depots, plants, and terminals, following Company Policies, Procedures, and manufacturers' recommendations. Support automation specialists in their daily tasks.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the automation team in enhancing and standardizing automation systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct routine checks on static and mobile Automation Systems and Sub Systems as per company procedures, recording findings accordingly.
- Assist in executing all HSE requirements in coordination with the HSE Team, including fire alarms and shutdown systems, to minimize risks.
- Periodically evaluate system performance, identify underperformance areas, communicate findings to management, and propose solutions.
- Support upgrades, refreshes, and reconfigurations of subsystems for optimal performance.
- Coordinate with IT to communicate requirements and ensure seamless, safe system integration.
- Test automation systems, equipment, and installations post-repair for satisfactory operation.
- Respond promptly to automation system breakdowns, coordinate repairs with third-party service providers, and ensure safety during all procedures.
- Strictly adhere to safety instructions during work in hazardous areas.
- Operate and update records in the computer-based maintenance system for automation equipment and facilities, ensuring all activities are documented as per procedures.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with vocational trade certification relevant to the field.
- Higher Diploma in instrumentation is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of field instrumentation systems.
- Network hardware troubleshooting and configuration skills.
- Industrial computer troubleshooting skills.
- Deep knowledge of Terminal Automation hardware.
