Job description

Perform the required preventive maintenance and corrective activities of Automation Systems, Sub Systems, equipment and installations at all Operations Depots, plant and terminals as per Company Policies and Procedures and manufacturers recommendations. In addition, supporting the automation specialists for their daily activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support automation team in improving and standardizing the automation systems in order to ensure flawless execution of operations.
  • Carries out routine checks on static and mobile Automation Systems and Sub Systems according to company procedures, and records in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Support in the execution of all HSE requirements in coordination with the HSE Team, including fire alarms and shutdowns systems, in order to minimize risk to the best possible extent.
  • Periodically evaluate the performance of all systems and sub-systems in order to assess areas of underperformance, communicate it to the management and provide relevant solutions,
  • Assist in upgrading, refreshing and reconfiguring multiple sub systems to ensure more optimization.
  • Engage with the IT to convey requirements needed in a visible manner and ensure a seamless and safe integration across all systems.
  • Tests Automation systems, equipment and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
  • Attends to all assigned breakdowns in Automation Systems and Sub-Systems promptly, Coordinates with Third Party Service provider for necessary repair works and ensures that equipment is returned to service as soon as possible. Ensures all safety precautions are taken.
  • Ensures the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area (safety checks).
  • Operates and updates records in computer-based maintenance program system for Automation Systems, equipment and facilities as per instructions. Ensures all maintenance is recorded as per company procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
  • Higher Diploma in instrumentation Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 4 years of experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of field instrumentation systems
  • Network hardware troubleshooting and configuring
  • In-depth knowledge of Terminal Automation hardware
