Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Equipment maintenance staff will be a member in a team responsible for performing preventive maintenance for equipment and breakdown troubleshooting in Sterile plants for mechanical and electronics parts, interpreting data, providing cost and time estimates, testing systems, and writing up, evaluating equipment, components, and systems to satisfy business needs. You should have a passion for technology and be able to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and deliver work to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to adhere with cGMP principles and maintain them in an effective manner and provide engineering support and maintenance activities.
  • Ensures that Repair activities are in alignment with company policies and goals and meet or exceed machines maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor all safety activities of the Engineering Section.
  • Responsible for Maintenance Activities for the following Sterile Production & Packaging equipment.
    • Freeze Dryer
    • Ampoules & Vials Washing m/c
    • Dry Hot Air Sterilizing Tunnel
    • Ampoule Filling & Sealing m/c
    • Vial Filling & Closing m/c
    • Continuous motion vial closing m/c
    • Labelling m/c
    • Ultrasonic Cleaning m/c
    • Washing m/c for change parts
    • Steam Sterilizing Autoclave
    • Semi-Automatic Inspection m/c
    • Fully Automatic closing m/c for Vial
    • Cartoner
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime or reduction in efficiency.
  • Responsible for the overhauling and upgrading of old machines, if required.
  • Responsible to assure Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP), cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) being adhered to and followed
  • Ensure the Maintenance of each equipment is carried out as per the Support Recommendation and Instruction manual.
  • Work on Breakdown by Regular Inspection and Implementation in each related equipment.
  • Generate work Completion report, Logbooks and Daily Activity Reports.
  • Complete Logbooks of all Maintenance (Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance) carried out on each equipment for future reference
  • Check the daily notifications and Job Orders from the SAP Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with SAP Coordinator to complete all pending notifications from different Users and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and training on new equipment and ensure completion of the training in time.
  • Assist and support other departments and define specifications related to equipment, components and systems.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts and order it when it reaches minimum level.
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical & Electronics Engineering

Experience: At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar organization in Pharmaceutical is preferred Food

Industries and good knowledge of Electronics

Requirement

  • Knowledgeable with all types of Sterile Equipment, its parts and operation
  • Understands all aspects of pharma machineries installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electronics, pneumatic, and hydraulic processes.
  • Having the perfect combination of mechanical and electronics engineering expertise
  • GED (Good Engineering Documents): - Strong knowledge of engineering and maintenance documents.
  • Preventive/corrective maintenance: - knowledge of PM planning/scheduling & implementation including planned & unplanned maintenance concept.
  • Critical Spare Parts Control: - knowledge of spare parts inventory, ordering and maintaining the min. reorder level.
  • Strong command in English (communicating, writing and speaking).
  • Professional in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, etc.).
  • Has a positive mind-set attitude.
  • Effective encouragement skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP & EQMS System.
