Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and building equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and seamless guest experience.

The role requires a Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality or facilities management.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Trade Certificate, ITI, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, facilities management, or commercial buildings.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, lighting fixtures, power distribution panels, motors, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve electrical issues efficiently to minimize operational disruption.
• Attend emergency maintenance situations, including power failures, fire alarms, and other urgent engineering-related incidents.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and complete all required maintenance documentation and records.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and systems when required.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and well-organized while carrying out maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety, Fire & Life Safety, and Engineering operations.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver exceptional service and support hotel operations.
• Remain flexible and assist with other engineering duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Team Leader.
