Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and building equipment to ensure guest and colleague comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency response, and collaboration with other departments to support hotel operations while maintaining safety standards and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Trade Certificate, ITI, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within the hospitality, facilities management, or commercial building sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with hotel engineering systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, lighting fixtures, power distribution panels, motors, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve electrical issues efficiently to minimize operational disruption.
• Attend emergency maintenance situations, including power failures, fire alarms, and other urgent engineering-related incidents.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and complete all required maintenance documentation and records.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and systems when required.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and well-organized while carrying out maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety, Fire & Life Safety, and Engineering operations.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver exceptional service and support hotel operations.
• Remain flexible and assist with other engineering duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Team Leader.
