Electrical Technician - Marine Industry
- Switchboard, MCC, control boards, DB amassing, wiring, and testing according to provided drawings.
- Perform fault diagnosis, repair, and mounting of electrical control panels, component fittings, and carry out termination and gland work.
- Install pneumatic control actuators, flow meters, display, and alarm units.
- Crimping and testing of RJ-45 connectors for LAN cables.
- Good knowledge of cable schedules.
- Test and terminate fiber optic cables (CAT 5 & 6).
- Knowledge of switchgear segments such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, control transfers, and transport bars.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and verify the generator safety shutdown system and ensure proper operation as per client standards.
- Adjust and verify generator load sharing, parallel operations, and synchronization, including AVR and governor settings.
- Overhaul, calibrate, and test various electrical and electronic equipment, including ACBs, MCCBs, UVTs, rectifiers, converters, relays, and protection devices.
- Perform current injection tests on marine-approved ACBs.
- Repair PCB cards and other electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify main engine/generator alarm panels and verify system functionality as per class requirements.
- Knowledge of marine switchgear troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure materials meet standards and report damages.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and report work progress, tool damages, and errors.
- Maintain good relationships with team members and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Apply engineering principles effectively.
- ITI or vocational training.
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in marine, oil & gas, or offshore industries.
